Meet Our Staff
Kimberly A. Kane Owner/Director
Kimberly Ann Kane, started dancing at the age of 3 and has been teaching for 25 years. She continues to improve her skills through classes at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway and master classes with choreographers Sheila Barker, Chrystal Chapman, Frank Hatchett and Germaine Salsberg. Kimberly attends local dance conventions such as Dance Olympus and Tremaine Dance conventions for her cutting edge dance moves.
Kimberly is the Owner and Director of the Academy of Dance Arts Studio. Her dances have won numerous high score and prestigious awards both at the regional and national level. In addition she is the Director and Lead Choreographer of the ADA Competition team. She has choreographed dances for Somerset Patriot Stadium, Carnival Cruise Ship, Walt Disney World and for various charitable benefits. Kimberly’s real love is in teaching dance and thus has devoted her life to enhancing the craft of dance for her students. The art of dance is learned on a continuum, and encouraging her students to achieve their dreams is her ultimate goal.
She has been a dancer since the age of 3. She has studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, musical theater and hip-hop. A former member of the ADA & Legacy dance teams for more then fifteen years. She has competed and performed throughout the tri-state area. Danielle has won many high score awards as a soloist as well as a group member. Danielle, graduated from Kean University in 2014 with a BA in Early Childhood. She currently teaches Special Education at Children's Corner in Piscataway. Miss Danielle continues her studies in dance by attending various workshops and classes at Broadway Dance Center. Danielle has been a Star Champion for National Dance Showcase for the past four years. Teaching is just another way for Danielle to express her love of dance. She has been a teacher for 6 years at ADA and is looking forward to another great year.
Courtney has been studing dance her whole life. She is trained in ballet, pointe, partnering, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, musical theater and tap. Her training stems mostly from her mother, Pat Schumacher, as well from Princeton Ballet School where she studied under Douglass Martin, Mary Barton, Kathleen Moore, Erika Mero and Geoffrey Doig-Marx. Growing up she had a great mix of classical training including performing with Atlantic City Ballet as Clarain their "Nutcracker" and being able to compete in numerous regional and national dance competitions. Graduating magna cum laude from Rider University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance with minors in General Buisness Studies and Sales Management. Courtney is happy to be able to share her love of dance with her students.
Emily Davis has been dancing since she was 4 years old. She studied ballet, jazz, hip hop but mainly focused on tap. She fell in love with tap at age 8 when she took her first class. Emily graduated from Rutgers University in 2014 with a BA in Communication. While at college, she participated in the Rutgers Performing Dance Company where she choreographed tap pieces each semester for their showcases. She has also attended The New Jersey Tap Fest where she took classes from many influential artists. Emily continues her love for tap dance by taking classes in the city when she can and attending workshops. Emily is excited to join ADA this year!
